RES Ratchet Expansion Screws

Description

This special ratcheting expansion screw makes an audible “click” with each turn, so parents and patients know it’s been properly activated. Screw mechanically locks in place with each activation turn, so it absolutely cannot turn back. Slim design hygienic expander for greater patient comfort, for maxillary and mandibular expansion without acrylic.

Available in a 2-leg and 4-leg design, this screw expands 11mm at 44 quarter-turns. Stainless steel. Legs are laser welded. Directional arrow is stamped on the screw body, which is 15mm long (including the pins). Legs bend easily with our bending tool (item #044A-030). Includes 1 blue safety key.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THIS SCREW PRIOR TO FABRICATION OR INSERTION OF THE APPLIANCE, BECAUSE ONCE THE SCREW HAS BEEN TURNED TO OPEN IT CANNOT BE TURNED IN REVERSE TO CLOSE IT.
