Summit #110-Series Expansion Screws

Non-spring, Fischer-type, stainless steel expansion screws are 8.6mm wide x 2mm thick. The body length varies with expansion capacity. The screw can be placed just off the palatal tissue or at the crown level of the teeth to achieve the same mechanical advantage. By placing the screw at the crown level of the teeth, the largest sized screw can be used on almost every fixed appliance.

Encompassing guide pins and center threaded shaft with acrylic help prevent slipping or backing up. Easily removed wax or aluminum lug. Fully expanded screw may be stabilized with acrylic.
